Pottery with real history
These days, many of the products available for consumers to buy somehow seem soulless and devoid of any real character, which is a great shame. Mass produced and generic items have flooded the market, leaving little room for more interesting offerings.
However, the good news is, if you are after pottery and other such things that have a real history and are truly special, you have come to the right place.
Here at Denby, we have been producing gorgeous products for around 200 years, meaning a slice of English history is embedded in our techniques and ethos as a whole.
Indeed, the origins of our company date back to 1806, when a seam of clay was discovered in Denby. Local businessman William Bourne examined the material and recognised the fact it had exceptional qualities. And the rest, as they say, is history.
Production of salt-glazed pottery started at our Denby factory and eventually William handed the operation down to his son, Joseph. Soon, the products developed an international reputation for quality.
Over the years, we have had to alter the nature of our items and the ways in which we produce them but we have retained a determination to wow our customers with the sheer beauty and class of our products.
If you are keen to find out more about our heritage and see the site where all the magic happens, you can head along to our Denby factory shop. Meanwhile, to check out our fantastic range of offerings, simply peruse our online catalogue.
